| Ex LSU Star, Demetrius Byrd In Car Crash |
Former LSU wide receiver  was in critical but stable condition Monday after a car accident Sunday in Miami.According to an ESPN report, Byrd's injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A statement released Monday afternoon by Byrd's agent, David Dunn of Athletes First, said Byrd is expected to make a complete recovery. "We are saddened by the news that our good friend and client Demetrius Byrd was involved in a car accident yesterday morning," Dunn said in a written statement released through LSU. "He is currently being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, and based on early reports, we are optimistic that he will make a full recovery. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Demetrius, and with his mother Sharon and the entire Byrd family." According to LSU officials, Byrd's car hit a utility pole after a tire blew out. No other vehicles were involved.
