The safe bet would be to assume that the Commodores, 7-6 last season, are one-hit wonders. They (barely) made a bowl game last season for the first time in 26 years. But nine starters return on each side of the ball, as well as punter Brett Upson. More experience can only help the offense. In eight games, the Commodores scored 16 points or fewer. That they actually won two of them is a tribute to the defense, which allowed only 20 points and 320 yards per game. One problem: Vandy adds LSU and Georgia Tech to the schedule.
